Peyote

Peyote Case Decided by Utah Supreme Court

Peyote is a psychotropic cactus that has been used as a religious sacrament for centuries. Today, the Utah Supreme Court ruled that a federal exemption for peyote-using members of the Native American Church must be interpreted as applying to non-Indians and Indians alike. Utah's Controlled Substances Act incorporates the federal exemption, ruled the court, and because the plain language of the federal exemption is not limited to Indians, it must be read as applicable to Linda and James Mooney, both of whom are non-Indian members of the Native American Church.

That "sounds like viral malware behaviour to me", the user wrote.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day,

The ideals of fatherhood are strong in the Bible. Unlike the gods of other religions, the Judeo-Christian God is portrayed as a loving Father. Christ declared God his own intimate Father and claimed to show in himself what the Father was like. God gave his beloved son for the salvation of the world. Consequently, wherever the Christian ideal has prospered, fatherhood has often taken on deeper and more lyrical meaning. The tender appeals of the apostles John and Paul to their "children" helped foster this attitude.
